Tiger Woods will announce his Jupiter Links Golf Club team for his and Rory McIlroy’s TGL league Monday.
On Friday evening, the 15-time major winner teased golf fans with a video featuring four chairs on the beach. One seat had Woods’ name, while three featured blank tags.
“Find out who’s going to be filling these chairs on Monday,” Tiger wrote.
Four of the six teams have had their rosters announced, with Woods and San Francisco left.
McIlroy, Adam Scott and Keegan Bradley make up the Boston Common Golf team. Tyrrell Hatton was the fourth member, but he left for LIV Golf. The group has yet to announce who will replace the Englishman.
Los Angeles Golf Club is comprised of Collin Morikawa, Sahith Theegala, Justin Rose and Tommy Fleetwood.
The third complete team is The Atlanta Drive GC. Justin Thomas, Patrick Cantlay, Lucas Glover and Billy Horschel round out owner Arthur Blank’s roster.
Most recently, the New York Golf Club announced its roster, which includes Cameron Young, Matt Fitzpatrick, Xander Schauffele, and Rickie Fowler.
Who will be the other three players on Woods’ team? Max Homa, Shane Lowry, Tom Kim, Wyndham Clark, Min Woo Lee, and Kevin Kisner are among the players committed to TGL who still do not have a team.
Lee expressed interest in joining Woods’ team when the news broke of his involvement.
How will the final seven players be divided to complete the remaining two squads? Boston will also look to fill its final spot, so who will be the newest addition to TGL?
McIlroy and Woods’ league will launch January 2025 on ESPN in prime time. The first three matches have been announced, with the first on Jan. 7 — Jan. 14 and Jan. 21 complete the dates for the first three games.
TGL was delayed after the SoFi building collapsed in late 2023. Now, TGL has a new steel-supported structure. The 97-yard long, 50-yard wide arena will have 1,500 seats. Fans will see players tee off on real grass and play custom-designed virtual holes on the 65-foot screens.
